    Thumbs up Neat Prepper trick

I'm not a Prepper yet...more like an "early shopper" but here's a great tip on how to open a can if you don't have a can opener. I haven't tried it yet so I can't verify if it works outside youtube world. Have any of you done this?

If you're prepping, prep with a couple extra can openers.

I've got to give it a try. I've got a couple can openers but like to learn how to do without tools as well.

Interesting trick. I figured he was going to score the side of the can with the edge of the block or something, but apparently not.

My first thought when the video started was a flashback to "Two Wild and Crazy Guys" and I never got past that.

I sure hope they rinse the metal grit off before they pop the lid.

Invest an entire dollar on a couple P51's and you won't need to worry about food contamination. Another thing is if that lid caught you in the finger and cut you, you'd be in a lot of trouble if you don't treat for infection right away. Food contamination and infection will probably take out a good percentage of people if the country's infrastructure is gone.

P-38s? Never heard them called P-51s. I guess old Mustang guys felt left out.

And that's the reason I always have a cinderblock in my back pocket. You never know when you'll have to open a tin can. All kidding aside, it was interesting, thanks for sharing.
