I know there are many of you that have lived overseas, some of us may have even lived in the same place at the same time.
I've lived in Okinawa (Kadena AFB) and in Japan (Yokota AFB) 1974-1977

Yokosuka, Japan from 1990-1992 while stationed in the Navy. My young bride and I enjoyed it very much. The Japanese people we met were very friendly to Americans. Ran into the Miami Dolphins at the HardRock-Tokyo the night before they played the Raiders in the Tokyo Dome. Many of the Raiderettes also popped in that night. Aug 3,1991.

Canada is kinda weird. They all speak English but it's like some strange dialect and the last thing out of their mouth is always 'ay'.
A 12 pack of beer is called a case. Good luck drinking 12 beers and maintaining some sense of propriety. Pigs in a blanket are as common there as a Starbucks on every corner is here.

Never lived outside the US. I did get to spend a week in Germany when I was 16. Dad was in the Air Force and did Summer Camp at Rhein Main AFB. Flew over and spent a week there seeing the sights when he was off duty.
fifteen years on and off in Taiwan between 1981 and 2010. a week in Singapore in 1998, two weeks in Korea in 1988, been in Japan and hong kong a few times, been to all 50 states.

How Canada got it's name.
The very first settlers there were sitting around the fire discussing the future of their nation. One of them asked the others what they should call their new land. One of them exclaimed "I have a name! I'll spell it for you.... C eh.. N eh.. D eh?"
The rest is history....
A couple years in Viet Nam in the 1960s and 1970s. I have spent a few weeks in about fifteen countries in the Navy or on business as a consultant. The most foreign place I have spent time in is Washington D.C.
