    Luminox Wrist Watch

Anyone have a luminox watch? Comments \ Likes \ Dislikes?

I also heard Smith and Wesson has one like it - glows without having to charge with external light.

I have a luminox, and love it!
it's comfortable, and always glowing @ night... it's so bright I occasinally look at it while I'm driving because I see glowing light.

Close friend of mine brought a Luminox to Iraq and it took a nose-dive within a few weeks of use. The company was extremely helpful and replaced it, but that one also stopped working within a few weeks. It was the exact same problem for both watches - I think one or both of the hands had disconnected from the post in the center. It was weird, but even moreso because it happened twice.
I had heard they were good watches, and I like them well enough, but after watching my buddy go through two of them I decided not to get one. There are plenty of people who have them and love them, though.

My Nephew has one - loves it too. Several weeks ago he dropped it on a hard ceramic floor and one or more of the hands came loose. They fixed it and he's happy with it again.

Yeah that's my point. For what you're paying it should be able to take a bit of abuse. It's great that the company is willing to fix/replace - but the thing shouldn't break every time it bumps into something.

I've worn mine for about four years now, and I've had absolutely no problem. It's the second one I bought, and bought it because I wanted to move up to a metal watch instead of the old plastic one that I had.
