This guy locked the BG IN! Of course, the GG had bullet resistant glass to protect HIM but what about the other CUSTOMER in the store?

Bad clerk, no points for you. ... Cops got the BG, though.

Say what? THEM refers to BGs.

Someone else, elsewhere on DC, even referred to "Keeping THEM Out" as oakchas' mantra.

Keeping them out is more effective than taking pictures of them as they loot your home. More effective than setting off monitored alarms, bringing LEO just in time to draw a chalk outline of you on the living room carpet.

My understanding is that the OP is talking about armed robbers. Yes if I was manning the register I'd rather they stayed out. However this clerks reaction of locking the customers who did not share his bullet proof enclosure in with the armed robber? Poor quality decision to say the least. Are we going to hear charges of unlawful imprisonment or reckless endangerment? Seems likely.

He had more faith in bullet-resistant glass than I would. Makes me think of Caddyshack. "I ain't payin' no 50 cents for no Coke." "Then you ain't gettin' no Coke!"

Glad the cops got the bg but the clerk locking him in with a customer wasn't a great move. In this instance it seems to have worked out but what could have happened boggles the mind.

Even if I don't know who THEM is, I insist on keeping THEM out. At the very least, until I know whom THEM is; and maybe even then.

THEM out is always better than THEM in. Once THEM in, THEM becomes US. Can't have that, unless WE want it.

THEM is unknown. I, US, and WE is known. Once THEM become known, then maybe THEY can join US. But sometimes, THEM stays THEM, and THEM is better out, than in.

My alarm is my early warning system. It lets me know my perimeter has been breached by someone who has no concern for their own well being.
