Well they were building a "Fort". If the officer had been ATF or FBI it would have been a "compound" and heavy artillery brought in.

Or it could be a very lethal "snipers nest".

I am most grateful that my children were young when it was still permissible to "be a kid"!!!!!

I think it's a crying shame that some kids that weren't glued to the TV, phones or gaming stations actually wanted to play like we did growing up are harassed by, of ALL people, the police. It really makes you wonder what this country it coming to.

Some people do not have the psyche profile to be law enforcement officers, period. It's good they found this guy out before he killed innocent people. He should loose his job and be disbarred from law enforcement.

No indication of whose tree it was ... the county, the city, or private property.

Am presuming a neighbor wouldn't be calling police with a private property trimming going on, if she's complaining of "tripping hazards." Even with loss of a whole tree, if it was city property, it's hard to imagine children would be forced to the ground at gunpoint. One question: where is the threat to justify that? Bueller ... Bueller ... Bueller ...??

Try that as a citizen (civilian), and they'd imprison you for a good long while.

I'm trying to find a reason to keep this open- it has nothing to do with our focus.
