How lazy are news organizations these days?

How lazy are news organizations these days? I was looking at CNN's Technology news section. At the bottom under, "Business Insider" There is an article titled, "If You Own An iPhone And A Windows PC, You …". When you click on the link the full article is titled , "If You Own An iPhone And A Windows PC, You Need To Download Microsoft's Newest App".

It is about Microsofts Skydrive and the article is dated 13 Nov 13.

Skydrive is now One drive. Not a big deal, but you would think they could populate the page with current information.

I have noticed it in all news media, from MS to the "fringe" sites.

Anyone else notice this? I think it happens for two reasons.

    1. Total laziness on the editors or Web masters
    2. There just is not that much new news.

Sometimes I see something that does not have a date on it so you don't know the relevancy of it.

Just my pet peeve of the day
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

My problems with news organizations are the communist agenda of journalists.

Nothing more than propaganda machines for the Leftists.

That's my pet peeve for the day.

How about CNN STILL covering the missing plane almost 24/7? Talk about desperate...or maybe just lazy?

All "news" is propaganda now days, doesn't matter if it is left or right leaning people presenting that "news".

That sounds like one of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.

Resent partisan politics taking precedence over accurate reporting. It has probably been happening longer than I've been alive but that still don't make it right.

    HAHAHAHAHA, no.
Media is entirely corporate run, with the bottom line dominating all decisions. Their goal is to get you to tune in, and they'll peddle whatever crap they believe will get the maximum respondents. They're going for the middle 68%, spoonfeeding them pablum so that the networks can sell "Head On" commercials. The owners of the media outlets just want the system to continue, and are fighting over the viewership base. And, some stations don't shoot for the middle 68%, they shoot decidedly in one direction, hoping to scoop up the remaining 16% on that 'wing' that would be missed if they shot for the middle 68%.

You're essentially claiming that leftists can rise to the top of a corporate regime (high enough to sway policy) and are trying to push a 'communist' agenda while they live 5-figure lives. I'm ... skeptical ... to say the least. Incredibly few people making 5 figures have a 'communist agenda' so strongly that they'd risk their five figures.

News organizations just pump out stories to keep readership up.

To be fair, people like George Soros have 8 figure incomes (and much greater net worth) and see themselves as some kind of political messiah... There are people out there with money, power, and an agenda.

I'm not saying this is the case universally, but your point seemed to be that it doesn't happen...

Very fair point. There are outliers when it comes to stereotyping billionaires, I'll fully agree. You could probably easily name 3-10 'leftist' billionaires*, I mean, there are over 1600 of them, so you'd expect some exceptional ... um, exceptions ... to the stereotype that the median news corporation has a solely corporate agenda.

*And they'll come across as an incoherent loony often, because it strains our credulity that a person with leftist motivations can ethically become a billionaire. Strains my credulity too. Can't get there without some dissonance.

Yes, and it may be missing 2 years from now. Amelia Erhart is still missing too. CNN has found a golden egg among the low information voters (as Rush would say) and they aren't going to let it go. As I said, desperate.

Not doing a good job of what? They've won.

Fox News is getting round $300/American citizen per year in revenues. If you believe that CNN and MSNBC are only 'shooting' for liberal Americans, they're getting almost $600 per year per citizen.
