    Good Samaritan, or Good Witness?

So, you hear a car crash just a little way from your house.

Do you go out to render aid, or call 911?

This man went out to help... and got shot in the face for his effort.

If it occurred within eyesight and sprinting distance, I would attempt to render aid AFTER assessing the situation FIRST!

I'd call 911 first, then probably run over to the car and get shot in the face.

I'd call 911 while running over to the car since cell phones are all we have. But they'd have a hard time shooting me in the face because I'd be bent over breathing hard from the run.

You & me both. Been there/done that several times with no bullet holes to show for it. Waking up in the morning is a gamble. I feel better helping where I can, even when there's some risk involved.

Kind of lends credence to the old adage: "No good deed goes unpunished."
KNOWLEDGE: A tomato is a fruit.
WISDOM: Not putting a tomato in a fruit salad.
