    I just can't figure that one out, for either one of the participants. It baffles to me to try to figure out why the "master" would misuse so deadly a weapon in such a way. I sure as hell cannot figure out why ol' assistant would just lie there for something like that.

    I guess the obvious answer IS the answer: stupidity.

    Even I knew enough all those years ago in the Marines to NOT raise my hand when the pugilstick instructor challenged anyone who wished to attempt to take him down.

    And that was with a weapon that wasn't going to decapitate me....

    Notice how concerned the "master" was? It's not the first martial arts demo I've seen go stupidly wrong. One problem is that too many people think they are "masters"...

    This was the umteenth time this trick had been done? Imagine what the first time looked like! Maybe the master has killed so many assistants he has gotten over the shock of it.
