Be very careful carrying concealed in a bar. If a fight breaks out and you get envolved your bring a gun into a fight . I could go on for days about this but won't please just be very carful carrying in a bar.

I think you are smart to leave the gun in the car. What might be better is if there is a safe somewhere inside where you could stash it. I know every bar/club I have been in, was just too crowded of a place to start shooting. No matter which way you turn, your backstop is going to be people you don't want to shoot. It would be nice to have your gun when you leave though. Just in case you get met in the parking lot by some unfriendlies.

Is it 'legal' to carry a concealed handgun into a bar in the state you live in ?

Is it 'legal' to use a licensed concealed handgun for security type work ?

Yes and Yes. I am DPSST Armed Guard certified!

My first night was last night and I can see now that I will not need a gun in this place. There are enough exits and enough other bouncers and staff. I spoke with the head of security and he informed me that once I get to know the place he will show me where the SHTF bag is located. No need for me to carry.

Last night went smooth. No trouble no riff raff, tonight however could be a different story. You just never know.
    I carry because I care.

Any night that goes smooth with no trouble is a good night. I usually have about one or two problems a week, depending on how many nights I work. The rest of the time I just get paid to watch TV, (at the sport bar type place), or flirt with the ladies, and occasionally take out a bag of trash (I've determined its pretty much the perfect job for a college student). Just don't get complacent, and always keep your eyes open.

    Stay safe.
