I fear great evil is coming and we refuse to see it

Today there was the beheading in Oklahoma, which is currently the topic of this thread - The new reality - beheading at work

The act was horrendous and depraved, but I expect it will receive little air time in the long run. I say this because my faith in the public will and in the media is almost extinguished. In other parts of the world, such violence is a common occurrence; incredibly, however, the American public chooses to be willfully ignorant of these facts, and most media outlets are more than willing to ignore these stories as well. Whether the motivation of the latter is due to politics, indifference, or a naive belief that it cannot happen here I do not know nor do I care. What I do care about is this blindness to great evil.

I learned of the attack in Oklahoma only hours after receiving an e-mail that included images of various ISIS atrocities. These same images can be found very easily with a simple Internet search, and they depict atrocities that go far beyond any "shocking" or "brutal" images that the news outlets air with alarming infrequency.

The images are so disturbing that to describe them seems an act that is a final violation of the victims. Children beheaded. Human heads in piles. Men cutting off heads of victims. A woman being bled like an animal. Scenes of such human depravity bordering on the incomprehensible.

These images should be shown to the American public. These images should be discussed by our leaders. And not because we have a moral obligation to cleanse the world of evil. No, not for any reason other than they are coming for us. They will be here if we do not stop them over there. I firmly believe this. It will not be an overnight wave; it will begin with individual acts, punctuated by spectacular acts of violence. In fact, it has already begun. The first Trade Center bombing; 9/11; Ft. Hood; and so on.

I fear that in another one or two decades, if we do not take this fight to them, then the routine violence over there will be routine here.

I am not in the military. Yes, I will not take the fight to them. I know that. But it is not me that I am worried about.

This must end, and we must end it, or it may be the end of us.

I believe the evil is already here. I am afraid of the unspeakable horror that will take place, because there is willful disregard for the truth and allegiance to political correctness that minimizes & sanitizes the absolute turpitude of Islamic Extremist.

I totally agree with you. It's here and now. There have been reports in the past few days that another major 9/11 type event is coming our way very soon. I believe it.

A good segment of our society is so involved in what Hollywood is doing or where they're going to get their next drug of choice that what's really going on in the country is the last thing they think about.

Once we get a new administration maybe we can get back on track; I sure hope so. I also hope we can last 2 more years before a major attack because I have NO confidence in this administration handling the fallout.

Agree 100 per cent. I've seen a lot of posts on Facebook declaring that this is "Not our Fight". Not sure what rock these people are living under, but it most certainly is "Our Fight". ISIS has declared war on the Western World and has vowed to bring the death and destruction to the U.S. Mainland. The event in Moore, OK is just the tip of the iceberg I fear, and we must do everything in our power to take the fight to them and reduce everything they have and every thing they will have to rubble. I hate to say this, but I know longer view the Muslim Religion as one of peace when so many kill innocent people in the name of Allah. There is a Mosque right across the street from my house.....I can no longer watch them lingering around outside in the parking lot after their services without getting a knot in my stomach. As so eloquently stated here.....the peaceful Muslims are immaterial.

Until those nuts running around with knives slaughter one of your loved ones. That woman who was beheaded today had loved ones.

It's going to start getting worse and it's going to rapidly escalate.

You know how worried I am about Ebola? Zero worried.

    Muslim extremism? 100% worried.

Each to their own. I know how to handle nuts with knives, and so do my family. Ebola? Not so much.

I'm worried about terrorists AND Ebola. And recently I've become worried about possums.

You may know how to handle nut jobs but how about the little kids in your family, or your Grandmother?

If some co-worker comes up behind you and knifes you in the back, how would you "handle" that?

To dismiss this threat as nothing is very dangerous.

Jean, if those nuts show up in my county, there would be any of number of people more than happy to send them off to meet their maker. And Im not going to get too shook about it now.

I honestly dont see the difference between looking out for muslim killers & normal daily activities. If called upon to defend me or mine, I will do so. Regardless of who anyone prays to.
