    Recycle?

Just curious, how many people here recycle, and what do you recycle?

Recycle pretty much what you listed.

We have a County recycle program where I live. The only odd part about it is while they take all paper, they won't take cardboard!

At one time it was just newspaper, then a couple years ago they started taking all kinds.

You forgot to include "brass" as an option. I always recycle my brass.

When living in California I recycled everything, now in Idaho nobody recycles anything.

IIRC, our town charges $35 a month extra for recycling. My roommates and I are students so that's $35 that could goto groceries. Not many around here do it anyway.

We recycle all those you listed, but I'm thinking of not recycling paper, since that would take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and reduce global warming.

Everything you listed plus lawn waste. We're out in the country so we can burn but choose not to.

10 cent deposit on pop cans and that is all I do here. I once tried to recycle every thing to the point of no garbage left here at all. Everything was either composted, burned, or separated and recycled, then they decided that it was not cost effective N if you wanted to recycle that was fine, but you had to drive to the separate recycle centers with your stuff, then they started charging for drop off, and that ended idea real fast.

If you mean recycle as in taking something to a recycling center or separating it from the trash at the curb... nothing.

I do reuse things around the house, and I try not to purchase things with an inordinate amount of packaging.

Sorry, I'm not really the 'save the planet' type.
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

What a crock!! Recycling is a VERY profitable operation. I don't know where they think they can charge for it. I thought those guvmint monkeys worked FOR US!
