All that and still wearing white tennis shoes while in the suit. "Man in bullet proof suit was disabled by rusty nail".

    150 thousand dollars.... Holy cow.

I like his bear suit better. I'd pay good money to see a guy get in that suit and take on a bear.

Stick this geek inside a DOD Lab and inject his idea with billions of dollars so he comes up with a real working prototype for the grunts in Irak.

Why do people put "k" at the end of some words. I keep seeing people write words such as "Republik", "Kalifornia" and others like that. I just don't see why people need to misspell words on purpose to make a point (no direct attack meant towards you cagueits)

The "gadgets" as he describes them wouldn't last 2 minutes in the field. There's a reason we don't get our gear from radio shack.

His suit has a knife. The M-16/M-4 is issued with a bayonette.
His has a "light transponder" to mark casualties. We have smaller chemical lights (no batteries) but I've yet to see any reason to identify the wounded with them. Lights aren't very helpful in the day, and give away your position at night.
Pedometer? We use beads on a string. Better yet, we have GPS systems. Soldiers these days rarely walk far enough from their vehicles to need a pace count and the vehicles have odometers. Rather than a helmet mounted pedometer, why not a helmet mounted GPS? Oh yeah, we have that too.
The little camera car? Better to have something weapon mounted (with IR and reticle). Oops, thought of that too.
Wrist watches are also common. GPS and radios have clocks too.
Solar pannels do not provide enough power for continued use unless they are very large. They also break easily (did you see those exposed wires?)
Laser on the helmet? We put them on the weapon (oh yeah, we can aim with it too)
Salt? It comes in MREs. Soldiers get plenty of salt in their daily diet.
We don't trust soldiers enough to issue them morphine anymore. I don't even think medics have it. A few years ago, they took away my tylonal and sudafed. I also had to learn the hard way that morphine doesn't work on everyone (chest tube insertion, 3 large nurses worked instead)
Recording my last words? That's the last thing my family needs to hear.
What has he tested the armor with? Shotguns, pistols? The interceptor vest will stand up to rifle shots. On Mail Call, Gunny put one up at about 25 yards and shot it twice with an AK.

How am I supposed to aim my rifle with that helmet on? How will I maintain situational awareness through those tiny vision ports?

Oh yeah, by the way...... THE ARMY IS ALREADY DEVELOPING THINGS LIKE THIS! Do I need to tell him to google "land warrior"?

This ranks up there with the .22LR and 12 guage rotary guns (liquid cooled none the less) that someone proposed to me for infantry use.

Knight - I usually mess something on translating from spanish to english, for example in spanish "Mejico" in english "Mexico" - Irak instead of Iraq is just one of those that slip by mistake.

But mexico in spanish is still spelled mexico, it's just pronounced mejico. Iraq IS spelled Irak in spanish though.
