I just read that too. I'm guessing either drugs or a heart attack FROM drugs. Either way, we aren't talkin' Gandhi or JFK here just an annoying gold digger - harsh I know but true.

But as ever this sort of stuff just creates static so that the real news gets forgotten.
Whatever she became in the end, she was H O T back in the day.
I remember sitting in a class being given by a very cool E-5 in a gym at Fort Polk, about the new (to the OPFOR, anyway) M249 SAW. The guy had butcher block paper on an easel, and as he flipped the pages it had diagrams of the SAW labeled with what the part(s) was/were: TRIGGER GROUP ASSEMBLY, next page GAS PISTON, next page FEED TRAY COVER... Then he flipped the page and there was a nice Playmate of the Year centerfold of ANS, labeled, appropriately, ANNA NICOLE SMITH. We all got a kick out of it, and anyone who hadn't been paying attention quickly snapped to.

Had a newsflash email on this - and immediately thought intentional OD or accidental.
Not sure re foul play but I guess the media will make a meal out of it all for days!!

Every day there are people that truly contribute to society that have their lives end suddenly and prematurely. No one takes the time to even notice. Now we have someone like this, who is known for drug and alcohol abuse, has contributed essentially nothing to society, and it's big news. THAT is the sad part, not her passing.
