Jury finds Couey guilty on all charges in the murder of Jessica Lunsford

MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- John Evander Couey was found guilty Wednesday of murder, kidnapping, sexual assault and burglary in the abduction and death of 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford.

Couey, 48, stood beside his lawyer and showed no emotion as the verdict was read.

The jurors reached a verdict after about four hours of deliberation.

Earlier Wednesday, Couey sat in the courtroom, rolling his tie up and down, interlacing his fingers and twiddling his thumbs.

The jurors are expected to decide Tuesday whether to recommend Couey be sentenced to life in prison or to death.

In the interim, the judge ordered jurors to avoid the media and stay in semi-sequestration at home.

The judge will decide whether to accept the jurors' sentence recommendation.

"Justice will prevail, that's what I've always said, but it's not over yet," said Jessica's father, Mark Lunsford, after the verdict was announced.

I can't say what I want to say about this case. God, how I wish there had been a witness to the abduction so this could have gone under "Armed Citizen Success Stories".

Hopefully, the jury will do the right thing, the judge will accept their recommendation, and after an expedited appeal, Couey can be sent off on his way to hell.

For all of me, they could erect the gallows on the courthouse steps and flush this turd tonight, and I'd not have a single objection.

This is one dirt bag that deserves the maxium penality. He should be buried up to his neck on an ant hill. He won't last long in prison unless he is isolated from the general population. At least he won't be out and picking up any more little girls. They should take all of these perverts and do away with them the first time. These perverts never quit and to let one of them out is the same as condemning another little girl to the same fate .

He Needs to take a Long drop with a Short rope

He'll be in for a long time ,even if he does get the death penality.
1. Take his colors and paper away.
2. No inmate, regardless of who it is, should be kept separate from the general inmate population.
3. The victum's family should have the opportunity to activitely take part in the execution, or parole decision.
4. Inmate killings should be tolerated/rewarded.

Set up a legal situation where criminals guilty of crimes that raise this much public anger are automatically given only one sentence. They are let loose in the woods here in TN with anyone (no licenses necessary) interested allowed to track and hunt him.

Give him 5 minutes to get running, then it's on.

Then we donate the body to the Cadaver Research place in East TN, if there is much left.
