I Do Not Condone Drug Use...

But I do not understand this decision. There are far worse drugs that require a 'script' that can be abused. I guess it the idea, that in CA, individuals were getting a DR.'s script for $250 to get some 'legal' pot.
Obviously, this was a scam to get a legal 'high', but in the case mentioned above, too many scam artists have ruined it for anyone really in need of this drug's use. This IS a touchy issue...

Marijuana laws are absurd on the face of them. Just like the Volstead Act.

This type of decision is simply inhumane. Bit like banning oxygen!

Why dosen't the goverment come up with a program to disperse enough marijuana to ease this persons pain. That would be the humane way to go. They are turning an innocent person into a criminal

I simply can't understand why so many people in this country feel they have the right to tell another person what they can or can't do with their own body. I don't use any substances, but that doesn't mean I can tell you what to do.

This ruling is a sad day for personal freedom.

If we relaxed some of our "maryjuanna" laws we could free up more tax money to fight the real scourge drugs like Crystal Meth. Not that I am advocating illegal activities but pot is about on par with alcohol.

I do not condone the use of any intoxicants, however I agree that THC has been shown to be less harmful than many other "legal" pharmaceuticals.....

Perhaps the pharmaceutical industry lobbyists are to blame....

shouldnt be any banned. I don't use nor have I EVER used what are currently listed as illegal drugs. I do however see that it is WRONG to ban any of them. If someone wants to destroy their own life...let them. Unless and until they directly affect someone else, it's their problem to deal with.

The governments SOLE purpose was designed to prevent the initiation of force against individuals. Not to keep them from using any product or doing anything else to their own body (unless of course it involves blowing yourself up in a crowded market). We've allowed them too much power.

I'm not a pot fan, but if I had a terminal disease... I'm growin my own. To hell with the laws. If they want to slap me in jail go for it. I'll drag it through the press and the courts.

Some of these diseases are just plain cruel and unimaginable. Anything that can be done to help should be allowed.

Even been in a brawl with a pot head?

Plenty of people get the liquid courage in them and all they want to do is fight... Plenty of people back home in BC smoke weed and all they want from you is for you to pick them something up at McDonalds off the dollar menu...

Here's the deal, sell weed at the liquor store, collect taxes on it.. done deal.

Personally I don't care what people smoke or drink as long as they are responsible for their actions and are aware of any consequences... i.e. they mess up, then they should have the balls to not whine to a lawyer or a jury about messing up.
