Worst Movie ever
Yes.. another movie thread BUT.... there are conditions. It must be a movie intended to be taken seriously (wether it was a drama, comedy, historical, etc) but flopped big time. So, no Godzilla/Attack of the Killer Tomatoes/Michael Moore) and with recognizable stars and not some weird canadian/bangladeshi guy paired with a Uzbekistani lady. Basically a movie that makes you say "I can't believe how much mony they wasted in this POS!"
Also, no artsy foreign films... too easy!
My initial movies come from Kevin Costner and when people thought he could do good movies:
Waterworld.
The Postman.
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.
Randy Cain.
Ego will kill you. Leave it at home.

The Clearing with Robert Redford and William Defoe, that was a waste of 1.5 hours, I wanted to stick the DVD in the microwave just to get some sort of entertainment from it...

The Royal Tanenbaums with Gene Hackman. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Never could figure it out.
And Mulan Rouge with Nicole Kidman. I know some people liked this one, but my personal opinion was "ugh!"

Battlefield Earth.
While not necessarily a flop, I thought Windtalkers was pretty awful. Only John Woo could ruin a Marine movie with too much explosions and no plot. :(

The worst movie I ever saw (recently) was "The Marine."
I DID NOT pay a dime to see this movie. I was at a friend's house, bored to death, saw it sitting there and popped it in. After all, my husband was a Marine... I was curious... why not?
When I was not rolling my eyes I was laughing it was so stupid.
When I got home I was able to reenact an hour and a half long movie scene for scene in about fifteen minutes to my husband who just laughed his head off as well.
It was the biggest joke I've ever seen.
I could start listing the errors in it but it would take me about twenty minutes and this post would be about 10,000 words long which is more than I'm willing to waste on that POS.

This is just a complaint about movies in general...
If a particular movie is supposed to be "believable", then there should not be "unbelievable" scenes in it.
For example, Hollywood continues to use the old room clearing/building clearing trick of holding a burning newspaper up to a fire-suppression sprinkler head, and of course, not only does IT pop, but so do all the sprinkler heads in building.
Just for the record... this CANNOT happen-EVER!
I won't go into why. It's just an example of unbelievable junk.
I'm not saying that I won't go along with the unbelievable.
If the movie starts out as a fantasy (i.e. Star Wars, Star Trek, etc) then I can go along with anything from light sabers to teleporters. No matter how unbelievable they seem. Just don't mix the two.

Recent stinkers include The Curse of the Golden Flower and Ghost Rider (except for the presence of
Eva Mendes)
Worst movie ever would have to be any Ace Ventura film...I've seen some Jim Carrey movies that were enjoyable, but these aren't.

"The Thin Red Line" was a big crap-fest.
"Time Line"....A great book turned into a completely horrid movie.
"Battlefield Earth" was a terrible movie. Just a Scientology propaganda fest.
"Pirates of the Carribean, Dead Mans Chest" was a total stick-fest. I couldn't even sit through the whole thing. Got up and left after about an hour.
So many more....too many to mention.

Pulp Fiction, and Repo Man. I have gotten to the point if a move dose not grab my attention in about 20-40 min. I just turn it off or, leave.
