lima - GREAT news ........... I can but be impressed and also congratulate them for making a wise decison

From what we have seen of you here you are one in a million.

I hope they will be OK with carry - as in that line of work IMO it is more than sensible.

That's awesome Lima, very jealous here.

+1 on the knuckleheads firing expensive long guns at 7 yards and barely keeping it on the paper. I never know if I should offer them tips or just keep my distance.

That was the first question I asked, "What's your carry policy?" It's a gun range. I didn't feel the question was out of place.

I was told that as long as it's concealed it's fine.

I already knew that a couple of the employees carried as we had talked about it a couple of times so I was positive that it was going to be okay, but I thought I'd confirm.

I wonder if I'll get to clean all of the rentals.. I WOULD LOVE THAT!

    I love cleaning guns!

Oh they weren't shooting long guns.. they were shooting pistols at a rifle target at seven yards. It wasn't "scary" per say, but it was annoying and a bit unnerving.

I guess I'm going to be seeing a bit more of that, but what can you do?

    Pistol whipping.. anyone?

Ahh, I guess I was picturing my last trip to the range where a couple of guys had an AR15 and put the targets out 5-7yards, and had 12inch groups I was just embarrased to be there. But long or short gun, you should be able to hit at those ranges. I hope these posers dont carry.

PS: If you choose to pistol whip( I'd understand if you did), use a rental gun.

Every Range and Store should have a female pressence of some sort. Adds to the image.

    Congrats.

Congratulations on the new job. You are one of many women who are proof positive that the shooting fraternaty is not for men only. Stand tall and walk proud or is stand proud and walk tall? ha, ha, ha

If my wife said that, my reply would be "good, go get one of your own - I'm doing these."

And then I'd wake up with a bruise on my head.

WHAT!?!?!?! 12 inch groups with an AR at 5-7 yards?? That's just... unspeakable.

These were my last groups with an M-4 at 100 yards (we went shooting on Saturday) and I was still upset I wasn't grouping as well as I'd like...

My husband gets annoyed because I'm so meticulous. I clean every little thing and scrub every little part. He says I take too long, but I want to make sure it's SPARKLY clean...

My wife is the same way....not just about guns but everything. She say I'm not meticulous enough and I say she takes to long.

Glad to know that Husbands and Wives are from the same basic mold everywhere

LOL.. he has three guns cleaned in the time it takes me to do one. He keeps telling me that I don't have to take out the extractor and the firing pin EVERY time I clean it and I know I don't, but I like it when I KNOW that every working part is clean and well maintained. I also take apart my magazines and clean them and down into the mag well.

I've only taken apart the main spring housing once and cleaned back there, and polished the grip safety and the thumb safety and checked the sear and the sear spring and all of that. It was a good time.. good time.
