    Good for that man.

O.J. is a piece of trash. I too wish something terrible, painful and messy would happen to him.

But, maybe burning in Hell for ever will be enough....nah, I want to see him suffer here on Earth.

We get a lot of undesirables during Derby time. I'll be in downtown Louisville today, I may stop by and thank him for that.

Makes me want to go on a long drive just to patronize his restaurants.

It's refreshing to see that some people still have principles.

I saw an interview once with the late Robert Stack and he was asked if he would like to play golf with Simpson. He responded, "No" and when asked why, he said "I generally do not play golf with murderers".

My opinion of Stack definitely rose after hearing that.

    E-mail of thanks sent.

Just as we should warn businesses and sponsors when someone in the public does something to displease us (Rosie O, Zumbo, Roanoake Times, Tennessee Database, etc) We should also take a moment to thank those who do well.

Ok, it just got ugly, OJ has hired a lawyer and is playing the race card.

O.J. Simpson’s attorney, Yale Galanter, said he may sue Jeff Ruby, owner of Jeff Ruby's steakhouse in Louisville after Ruby refused to serve the former NFL star Saturday night. See story here.

Galanter said that the incident was about race, and he intended to pursue the matter and possibly go after the restaurant’s liquor license.

“He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did,” Galanter told The Associated Press by telephone last night.

Ruby said the incident had to do with Simpson’s past.

“It was the first time since 1994 he has ever shown any class,” Ruby said. “He showed it that night in the restaurant” by leaving quietly.
This isn't about race and he knows it, it's about not wanting to serve a murderer.

I saw that just now in the news. And I would think OJ's lawyer should reconsider. Mr. Ruby seemed like a "I don't take BS from nobody" kind of guy.

He (Ruby) put his convictions before his pocket book.

Playing the race card wouldn't do a whole hell of a lot, when later that night, Mr. Ruby served Michael Jordan at the table left vacant by OJ.

Business transactions are by mutual consent. So long as the discriminant factor isn't a disallowed one (ie, ethnicity), a shop owner has every right to not serve someone ... for darned near any reason, or none at all. It's called "reserving the right to refuse service" for good reason, 'cause the owner has exactly that right. Simpson knows it. So does his lawyer. So does everyone else.

Since his vocation 35yrs ago, he's laid little claim to fame and only passing interest as a breathing human specimen. He's just another schmuck who has no right to expect a shop owner drop his rights. Simpson has earned every part of the treatment he gets. Welcome to the real world.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me that this lawsuit gains traction and goes somewhere. Judges don't; juries can't; and lawyers will. Sad reality.

The real question: Would I carry in his presence? Every moment of every day, and twice on Sunday.

You have the right to refuse service to anyone. There is a Ruby's Steakhouse being built now in Idaho Falls. Sounds like my new favorite place.

My hat is off to Ruby!

A guy who can put his principles before his wallet is truly admirable.

Thanks for that post. I'm glad to see it. O.J. shouldn't have a chance at all with all that evidence considered....
