What coffee do you drink?
This might seem trivial but anyone else here with the coffee habit I have will agree that a good cup of joe seems to be harder to find, regardless that there are more places selling it than ever.
So, without including local places that none of us have heard of, what are the places you buy coffee, which places guarantee a good coffee when you're on a road trip?
I read an article in Consumer Reports where they blind tested different brands, Starbucks came last, but the super cheap MacDonalds gourmet coffee came first. Might need to try that.
I generally get mine at a small bagel place here in town but find that when I'm on the road it's hit and miss, I heard that Dunkin' Donuts coffee used to be real good but went downhill, most gas station stuff is pretty bad, I do drink and enjoy BP gas station coffee. I don't like Waffle House coffee.
I like plain unflavored coffee with half and half.
Any hidden treasure out there I need to know about?
What's your favorite coffee?

I actually like the Burger King coffee. The McDs gets my vote for most improved though. I don't like McDs so I rarely go there for food, so I don't get their coffee much either. The 66 stations with the stores are usually pretty decent. They usually have a bit of a selection as well.
In VA the Sheetz stations in my area are ok as well. Just not really early in the AM. After 6 AM it is all fresh and gets a high turnover so your odds of getting fresh are good.

I like the new McDonalds gourmet coffee. It is very good.
Other than that, I can drink just about any kind there is. I do like Foldgers though. A good all around coffee.

+1 on the McDs coffee, too. I'm not a big Scar Bucks fan. I usually brew a pot of Seattle's Best when I get to work.

Seriously, I use Kahve (Breakfast Blend) at home.
When I'm out, and the need is bad enough, anything will do.
But, I'm not a fan of Starbucks either.

I like my coffee strong and black. Star Bucks is just right McD's is a little weak but better than the free State coffee I drink all day a tax payers expense.
Just to let you know I drnk between 16-20 cups of coffee a day. 8 my own strong coffee and the rest usually state coffee. Waffle house depends on which you go to and who's own shift. There's one on I-85 south the last exit before Montgomery that has good coffee in the moring but is stinks in the afternoon. on I-65 in Hartselle Al there is a Waffle house that usually has good coffee all the time.
If you couldn't tell I cover a lot of the state.

Peet's is a good roaster, with some very good blends. I've yet to get a bad brew there. I am not really a coffe-holic, drinking maybe a half-dozen cups a year. I'd like to think that gives me a good perspective on when it's really a sweet cup. Peet's has a good Kenyan, a good stiff Turkish style (at one of the S.F. stores), and the house blend is pretty decent. It's the beans, the roasting method, and the water. Get those right, then most of them taste pretty great.

Starbucks all the way. I think they put more caffine in their coffee to get users addicted. Suppose one of these days someone will bring a law suit.

I like all coffee, as long as it's hot and black. Chickory is a favorite. There is no such thing as good coffee outside the USA.

That goes to show you. I can't taste it unless it is bitter.
I just like it strong.

I'm a Dunkie Junkie, but unfortunately, the nearest DD is over an hour away from me on the far side of Roanoke. Whenever I go up north to visit family, I always bring home a couple of pounds of DD beans. When I'm near one, at least 2-3 times a day I'm ordering a "large extra extra".

The best coffee in SC is at my house. But if you're traveling down south:
Best regular coffee is Hardees
Best decaf coffee is Jack in the Box
