    Cool project, but i'm not sure what the device would be used for. Is the bb gun supposed to take the place of a real gun? If so.. what about recoil?

    Forget all that. "Yes judge I had to shoot the BG remotely because my cat was afraid for his life".

    If your not home the best thing you can point at a BG is a camera.

    I saw a video a long time ago of something similar. A guy had a P-90 airsoft gun rigged up with a camera and wrote some motion detection and tracking software that could autonomously target and fire the gun. It worked pretty well, apparently.

    Such a thing really doesn't have much purpose in a private residence, but it could be useful in high security prisons and such, armed with rubber bullets.
