Active Duty '91-'95, 11B1V, 11B2V. Army National Guard '96-'06 (Active Duty 9/13/01-05/10/02, then again 03/01/04-07/15/07, plus a few months here and there); 11B3V and 11A. Tryin' to figure out how I can stay in while I'm overseas with my "civilian" job.

A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Early Entry Program 1995-1996 and Active Duty from 1996-1999: I served as part of B-1/9 Field Artillery in Ft. Stewart, GA. If I would have liked the Unit politics then I would have stayed in for life.

That would be in the Standby Reserve. We run into this with our IRR soldiers at times.
