    Purely fun observation!

At least - it used to be. Maybe newer movies are more realistic.

Always cracked me up when in a movie - suspense at an all time high ... a character is walking (often at night) and their footfalls are a steady ''click, click, click'' - like leather soles and metal corners!!! Possibly of course enhanced in the edit suite.

I have for years been ''Mr Sneaky'' ....... and have worn pretty much silent shoes ... sneakers, or anyways, rubber soles. My wife often does not hear me coming in to the room because I have a sorta ''stealthy'' mode .... scares the you-know-what outa her sometimes.

So - fellow CCW's - quiet shoes or noisy? I expect pretty much one answer.

Well come on now, ya gotta "walk softly and carry a big stick"

I usually wear rubber soled Roper style boots, pretty quiet. Although for fancier occassions the fancier boots come out, not so quiet, but they sound really cool on a wood floor.

Always quiet shoes. I grew up in a house that was all wood floors, escape and evade was order of the day if I wanted to get out and have any fun. Now I live in a house with wood floors and my wife keeps threatening to put a bell on me.

Oh heck - don't tell my wife that

when has noisy shoes ever saved anyones butt?
Exactly Mike - which is why those old movies cracked me up so much. Good guy walking to go catch bad guy - but giving excellent prior warning of approach LOL.

If it's not quiet, don't wear it! They will find you!

I have a pair of those ninja shoes with the spit toes for when I really need to be sneaky.

I'm 300lbs... sneaky is not easy for me.

I prefer to go quiet. Historically, however, there have been different approaches . . .

My shoes are all quiet, I do have some shoes that squeak when they are wet though
