    Thanks!

I love Parker's novels (though he's clueless about firearms), and Tom Selleck is one of the few Hollywood types that I don't mind watching.

    I'll set my tivo :)
Liberty is an inherently offensive lifestyle. Living in a free society guarantees that each one of us will see our most cherished principles and beliefs questioned and in some cases mocked. It's worth it.

Parker is not clueless about firearms. He's actually more knowledgeable than most writers. You may be thinking that because his character Jesse Stone (Tom Selleck) carries a 1911 in the movies while in the books (I've read them all at least twice) he carries a Smith & Wesson .38 snubbie.

I have the other 3 Jesse Stone movies on tape (Night Passage, Death In Paradise and Stone Cold) and in all three Jesse carries a 1911. But in ALL of the books (6 in all) he carries a Smith snubbie.

He's better than most writers, but not somebody I would go to for advice.

Yeah...me too. Kinda disappointed so far. Hardly like the book at all! Maybe it will get better.

Just finished watching. I thought it was OK, not nearly as good as the first three, tho.

My wife said the same thing, Glock 'em down. Not like the book at all.

Stone Cold is available at Block Buster, I'm nit sure about the others, I'm sure they are.

As far as books being better than the movie, isn't that always the case? Look at "Man on Fire", "Shooter" taken from Stephen Hunter's "Point of Impact" and many, many other such travesties.

Stone Cold is the only one available on DVD. I was very disappointed. The ONLY part that was remotely similar to the book was the part about the girl getting "raped" on the boat and the video tapes.

It really bothers me. The other three movies are without a doubt some of the best movies I have ever seen! And this one was...well...sub-par.

Blockbuster online has the other two listed, but not out yet, meaning sometime soon.

One of my favorite movies isn't really a "gun flick" but a hillarious "dark" comedy...it's Grosse Point Blank. It's about Martin Q. Blank, played by John Cusack. He is a professional hit man and he is going back to his 10 year high school reunion in Grosse Point, Michigan. It has an awesome shoot-out scene as a finale, and an incredible shoot-out inside a "Ultimart" convience store that used to be Cusack's childhood home - until it got bought by the Ultimart chain. Cusack is armed with a pair of Clock 17's and the other guy is armed with a pair of Uzi's - AWESOME MOVIE!

Ill just comment that you wont find a nicer guy than Selleck , unless maby its Sam Elliot . Segal is kinda opinionated and vocal , tho a staunch gun owner lol . Harrolson is something you scrape off your shoe . Now understand that the above is my personal opinons of some of the folks who i have met and delt with . Both Selleck and Elliot i can attest can hold thier own from pistols to prarie dogs .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .
We only begin to understand folks after we stop and think .
