I was sitting in my living room this evening when something large slams into my sliding door, and it didn't sound like a ball hitting (a single thud), it sounded like someone trying to break the glass orjam open the door.
I jumped up, sidearm in hand of course, and threw open the vertical blinds and saw... Nothing! I was befuddled since the deck has a high railing around it and didn't think someone would be able to get away that quickly. I looked around and there was a dazed famale mallard
on the floor of the deck, not unlike this one:

I've been on dial-up for too long, but here are two recent pics.

And here are some Grosbeaks at a feeder.

    Great looking dog
A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.

I love the GSD photo's, my wife and I have two:

Mercedes (Sadies) on the left is glued to the wifes hip all day long, definitely a good thing. When we built the house, we were trying to decide between spending the money on an alarm system, or a good protection dog. We obviously went with the dog, and couldn't be happier.

Mickey on the right is a rescue. He was hit by a car, and the previous owner wanted him put down. The vet disagreed and contacted a local shelter who agreed to pay the costs. He is our early warning system.

This is Sadies having some fun:

This is Jaro, another male we donated to the CT State Police K-9 squad. The photo is graduation day from the K-9 academy.

I don't think we will ever be without a GSD, amazing dogs.

This is the youngest of two Shelties. Will never qualify as an attack dog, except during a Frisbee invasion. The uttering of "Frisbee" or "Ball" requires a trip to the back yard. After dark, it's a Glow in the Dark model. The neighbors are freaking out!

This is Adam, our black Lab mix - don't come in the house unannounced if he doesn't know you! He loves to kill opossums and just about any other animal that gets into the backyard.

Why, what are you offering? I take it they have SV pedigrees? Sadies is the progeny of german imports.
