I am not a dog expert but that bird dog looks like a classic Pointer - fine animal.

Yep, English Pointer. He was bred from the first bird dog I ever owned. His dad is still alive and still hunting at 15. Boss is 7 and the bane of any quail or pheasant he smells. I breed GSPs now though.

    Speaking of pointers....

Im glad I stumbled upon this thread, lol. Here's probably too many pictures of my greatest two friends. German short-haired pointer, and a red doberman.

that should be enough. nice looking pointer above Sgt.

Dennis is freaky... He gets in the shower with us, meows at night bringing his toys on the bed wanting to play. He loves water we often catch him sitting in a wet sink.

We got him and Pokey during Hurricane Dennis (hence the name), they were going to be put to sleep, so my wife and I drove to the vet school and picked them up. They had ring worm so bad that we had to lock them in our tile bathroom and dip them twice a day. Then we had to bleach the bathroom.

Pokey just Likes to play. Tiger has kidney problems and we have to give him IV (actually SC) fluids evary other day to keep his kidneys functioning.

Here's mine; Duke the wonder dog! Rescued him a year ago from the Humane Society. Got a trainer, worked with him all last summer, here are the results.

Heres my Otto as a pup. He was a rescue, but I worked with him and he is a great dog now. He's also my only GSD I have left. I still have my bird dog though.

Your cat sounds like our little Johnson. He LOVES water. He'll get in the shower with us as well and while I'm washing my hands or face he'll just stick his whole little head in the running water. He gets SO wet then runs around nuzzling everything getting IT all wet.

His brother, Peterson, doesn't like getting wet but he's not afraid of water.

I was taking a bath once and the water was just low enough so that my stomach was sticking out of the water. Peterson climbed in the tub, on top of my stomach and tried to lay down. Needless to say he got a little wet and didn't like it and jumped back out but the little stinker tried.

    Cats are weird.

He is a Springer, I have been told that he is the product of backyard breeding; we have alot in common! My girlfriend had me at the shelter to look at a white fluff-ball dog. We took it into a private room and it was obvious to me the fluff-ball was psyco. Thank God she saw it too. This Springer was in the cage next-door and caught her eye. I went into the kennel with Duke (much to the dismay of the liberal staffer [it is my place on the planet to annoy them as much as possible])
I think I am the first to hunt him; it was worth all the work when he got up his first pheasant and I hit it. That Ditch Parrot cackled and got up in a group of 6; he was spinning in a circle barking like a maniac. He gave me a WOW! look and you could see it all click. I am guessing there was an overwelming amount of scent for the little guy.
I had a pro introduce him to the gun and whistle train him to quarter and come. He has issues from his previous owners that we are still working through. He is a sweet dog with an awesome nose.
I have 900+ acres of land on the Minnesota/SD border and he has snuffled every inch of it. He can really cover the ground; the first time out he came back with a scab covering his entire nose. That dog loves to hunt!
