I wish I had a pic to hand showing an ol' buddy of mine using his. Haha - he is barely 5'.6'' and probably not much over 100# soaking wet. On a wildfowling trip he tried it out - forget his powder charge (the ''holy black") - but he was adding the full 4 ounces of shot!
Darned near knocked him on his back, as he was shooting high at birds. I have shot a heavy load thru a 10G and that was enough! Mind you - the 4G he used was so long I am sure he coulda swung it and clubbed the birds to death

Needless to say, you can feel it the next day or two after putting acoupla boxes thru it....

I find these days my limit is definitely 12G 3" slug shells - and even then I'd rather shoot my ''buffalo'' loads outa the Ruger #1
