"I just treat everyone nice, and they treat me the same"
I'm not sure if this is a step up or down from " I'd rather die myself than take another life."
This guy at work (he s a nice guy) rides his bike through some rough areas instead of drive. I've considered doing this, but I'd have to ride through some serious ghetto, plus I need my trunk full of tools nearby for work. Anyhow, when I mentioned the neighborhoods he rides though, he response was that "no one will bother me because I'm nice to everyone I meet." I gave him a "really?" look and he just responded, "well, it's worked for me so far."
I know we have heard all this before, but it still baffles me when people fail to perceive an obvious risk. I understand when someone sees a risk and consciously decides to take it, but to pretend it's not there? :sheep:
