I've always loved guns, but I didn't have the opportunity to have one for a long time. I did have a K frame S$W .357 in the late 70's, but I had to sell it, as I was out of work, and needed money (but, with my luck, I gave it to a friend with a gun shop to sell on consignment. I noticed it wasn't in his shop, and he told me he was taking it to Va Beach to show someone who might buy it. He never ever paid me for it, so he's now an ex-friend). Anyway, My wife gave me half toward a Beretta 92FS in August 2005 after moving back to LAs Vegas from northern California. I added a Glock 19, a Glock 26, a Kel-tec P11 (now sold) and a Springfield Armory XD 45 over the next year, along with a Bushmaster AR15. I applied for a CCW in February of 2006, which I received finally May (though it says on the permit that it was issued in February days after I applied). I treat the guns like an American Express card- I don't leave home without it, carrying either the XD, or the Glock 26, depending on the temperature (in Vegas, cover garments are hot in the summer). It's hard to believe that I've been carrying for over a year now. The guns have become a part of me, and I can't even thimk of being without one.
Comfortable feeling, isn't it?It's hard to believe that I've been carrying for over a year now. The guns have become a part of me, and I can't even thimk of being without one.
When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.
