    Another Doctor experience...

So I had to go to a new doctor today, a specialist to check on some stuff and his office is on a no guns posted medical building. I wasn't very happy about it but I left my gun secured in the truck and went inside. I went therough the the usual first time visit paperwork and the doctor saw me, checked me out and gave me the usual advice & treatmen we all know. At the end of the consult he said "Can I ask you something?" and pointed at my empty holster. He turned out to be a fellow shooter, XD owner and .45 aficionado. We spoke some (what do you carry etc.) and I invited him over to my club and this board.
In a way it was nice to see that in a Posted Buiding there was at least somebody who is on our side.

You'd probably be surprised how many "friendlies" work in buildings like this because they have no choice. They abide by the rules and keep their mouth shut because they don't want to offend anyone, but they meet someone like you and are THRILLED beyond words to have a chance to let loose a little.

Good job and I hope to see him on the boards soon. It would be good to have another (assuming there is already at least one) doctor in the house!

Nice to hear as in my experience most Dr's are anti. The AMA practically requires it.

Both my regular doctor and my back specialist turned out to be avid hunters and pro 2A now when I go there we have a extended visit talking gun stuff.
