Perp "Accidentally" Released - Ooops!
This story is shocking. He and a woman forced the woman's 16 and 14 year olds into prostitution. The story on the prostitution case was a major new event here last week. Now this...
Looks like the bureaucrats are looking for a scapegoat.

Somebody's in some deep trouble for that one...
It's bad enough when they get paroled, now they're gettng out before sentencing.

"Accidental" release, hm? Sounds more like purposeful release for stupid reasons. "Not sure" when the records were updated in the computer system? Perhaps the fault is the lack of a computer system's ability to track date/time/person doing the entry.
Active scapegoating would be the typical dishonorable step, when one can't clearly explain how and why something failed. This time, at least, it wasn't a murderer set free. That's something.

As someone mentioned recently - the phenomenon of ''catch and release'' seems to be on the rise ....... and it ain't doin' much good for anyone except the criminal. Not helped by jails bulging at the seams.
Accidental here? Maybe administrative screw up.

...might have been accidentally released from the city jail early this morning...
Might have been accidentally released? They either did or they didn't!

Doesn't sound like an accidental release. More like a negligent release to me.

Before we moved here I was in the process of getting hired by HPD. Fortunately wife got a good enough paying job before I got an offer.
The more I read about HPD the more I think about just being a greeter at Walmart!

""Obviously, this shouldn't have happened," he said, adding that an internal investigation has been launched. "We are trying to determine if it is a human error, a processing error or a computer error.""
Of course it is attributable to human error. Someone released the perp without an order from a judge. Oh, heck, Paris Hilton was summarily let go by the LA sheriff. Maybe an order from a judge is no longer needed.
