Looks good - except right now - top window shows the dreaded ''red X''! - instead of the time.

Been using that site for a few years now. I've always gone to www.time.gov though.
BTW, if you have a cellphone, the clock on your cellphone should be just as accurate. Mine has always been spot on with time.gov.

I never knew that.

Yup and there are time servers that we are able to synch our network servers to automagically. I have a little program that came with my new motherboard that sets the time in the bios every time I turn the machine on. My cell phone and cable box always maintain the same exact time so I know they are synched to US time clock.Originally Posted by QKShooter

There is also a program you can download for free called Atomic Clock Sync. It will syncronize your computer clock with the Atomic Clock.
This is the link to the download:

The cellphone depends on your phone and your company. I think these days most of the carriers have a time feed. But some of the older phones on TDMA or GSM networks did not. When I had an older Nokia phone on Cingular's GSM network, I had to set the clock manually. This was about 3 years ago though.

You can also get the time by dialing 853-1212 anywhere.

I wear a Casio Data Bank 150 (watch) and every night at midnight it turns on it's radio receiver, and syncs up with the National Bureau of Standards atomic clock signal and sets it's self.
That's pretty cool!
I guess I'm lagging behind on the technology!

What I want to know is how are we getting better at applying ourselves in the USA claiming productivity is up when we have these guys standing around all day checking time? You don't think the government is misleading us do you????
