I'd jump on it and not think twice about it. Even if you hate it there, I'm sure you wont regret going for the rest of your life, but you will you have regrets if you chicken out and dont go?

In a word.... GO!
I was there from 70 to 73.
Beautiful place.

Well that's a gauntlet dropped at my feet...
I'm sorting out a sitter for my two furry daughters, checking my wife actually has to go (her boss might take the trip) and if all goes well I'll be up there.

Oh, yeah...forgot to mention...you'll probably want to pick up some mosquito repellant upon arrival...

That'll help with the skeeters, but nothing works on the no-see-'ums!

Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

Check out the polar bear in the lobby of the Captain Cook hotel (if it is still there).

I'm in Anchorage now.
1st day we ate at The Sourdough Mining Compnay for ciche Alaskan Food. Lunch at the Moose's Tooth the porter is excellent. Spent most of the time at the Alaskan State Health Lab, wouldn't recommend it for the common tour.
Tomorrow we are going to Aliaska park to collect blood samples from birds. I'll update the trip then.
