This is a discussion on Kitty Cat Force-On-Force within the Off Topic & Humor Discussion forums, part of the The Back Porch category; So, while we were doing some picture taking, the kitties decided to have an all out war.
They are practicing their self-defense tactics on one ...
Lima, not to hi-jack but we need a better pic of the 1911. Can't make out the grips.
Back on track, cats are fun to watch my sister's previous cat was a heck of a hunter (she used to line up her conquests on the deck to get praise and she even caught a duck) you could always tell when she could go from orange to red in 1/2 a second.
"[T]he people are not to be disarmed of their weapons.
They are left in full possession of them."
Zacharia Johnson (speech in the Virginia Ratifying Convention,25 June 1778)"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed." ~Alexander Hamilton
So... Do you think it would be possible to get a OWB holster for one of the cats? Nothing Kyden or plastic, ya know? Maybe a leather one like Bianchi. But I mean, really. Some mugger tries to have at you. You toss the money on the ground in front of them and when they bend down, you toss back the shirt and WHAM!!! Send a kitty weaver-style onto their head! Hell, get another one for the weak side and it'd be God-awful! Two cats fighting with only your head in between them.
I'd be screaming.
It'd give new meaning to the term 'back-up gun' too.
"It is enough to note, as we have observed, that the American people have considered the handgun to be the quintessential self-defense weapon." - Justice Scalia, SCOTUS - DC v Heller - 26 JUN 2008

I think that would nicely cover the "distraction" talked about in another thread..

Six Bravo, that's a great plan, but for the fact they'd probably get cranky being carried around on me all day.. Especially Johnson. He doesn't like to be held very long.
And yes Pete, we encourage them to beat the crap out of each other. They are in door cats so they are already at a disadvantage, but should they ever accidentally get out I want them to at least have some skill in defending themselves.
They both have all of their claws still. We trim them, but we don't want to take those away. It's all a cat's got.
Sometimes I feel bad keeping them cooped up in an apartment. They are cats. They aren't doing what God intended them to do unless they are hunting, eating, defending their turf, and being proud, and sleeping.
We hope they live to a ripe old age and continue to beat the crap out of one another. It builds character!
Your best weapon is your brain. Don't leave home without it. Thoughts:Justifiable self defense. Explain: How does disarming victims reduce the number of victims? Reason over Force:The Gun is Civilization (Marko Kloos).
NRA, GOA, OFF, ACLDN.
My dogs go at it all the time. Its fun to watch, but they are big enough that they sometimes knock furniture over and they always make a mess. Sometimes I get on the floor and mix it up with them too, but I always come out scratched up sometimes I get bit but they let me win.
