Remembering the 4th of July
As we have family and friends gather for BBQ, cookouts, parties, parades and fireworks, we should all remember the meaning and importance of the 4th of July. Its the official date of affirmation by our Continental Congress of our Declaration of Independence. These brave freedom-loving souls made the pathway to a country and a way of life that we all enjoy and most of the time take for granted. I want to salute all of our founding fathers and everyone that has served or is serving to protect our great country. God bless them all.
My sig line contains a very profound statement from the General of the Texas army during our struggle for independence. We should all keep in our hearts and minds:
Independence is declared; it must be maintained.
