    I am a hopeful pesimist

As an aging cynic .... I am a pessimist - most so with regard to the state of things global.

I try to raise some optimism when I can but pessimism tends to rule the day currently. That too maybe applies to what I see with some of the next generation

I like to think that I'm a realist...but I don't give up hope for this crazy world. I'm an optimist - in the long term scheme of things.

Not sure where I fit. I was brought up Hoping for the best and planning for the worst.

I think the military explanation for this conundrum is "expect the worst, hope for the best", in light of that I chose "life is too short to care".

I picked pessimist, and that is probably accurate, overall. In some ways, though, I'm the world's biggest optimist. God and family - other than those...

Ummm, I am a pessimist. And I am only 30 years old to boot. I think I will hate to really see me in another 30 years.
Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!

    Confirmed pessimist.
