Well, hang onto your socks for this one. It has been purposed that a increase from 5 cents to 10 dollars for federal tax for each cigar. :ahhhhh:

I'd like to propose a LIE tax for politicians.

In my home state (WA) the tobacco tax is 129%. I don't think I'd notice the extra federal tax.
I think all these extra stupid laws are because they took morality and God out of schools, and now the only way to keep people from doing whats morally wrong is to make a law.... The whole freedom thing went out the window in the 60s and 70s.
What kinds of cigars do you all like? My favorite ever was a big Cuban Partagas that I got from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy....
Speaking of which, its not so much that there will be a "new" black market, just the old one will see more customers!

Yep. I love a good cigar as well. In fact on saturday my day consisted of: gun range...300 rounds through my CZ, and 450 rounds through my brothers .38 special,then to the cigar lounge for some Romeo Y juliettas(sp) and Royal Jamiacans...good day
While I don't smoke cigars very often, I am a fan of the Padron 1964 Anniversary series. Specifically the Pyramide Maduro with a glass of Blanton's bourbon. The Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur #1 is nice too. :22a:
