Glad to hear that injuries were minor.

Glad to hear also that the 'situation' was handled well.
The elderly gentlemen probably did lose some sleep and had the mind to look you up, and you had the mind to be gracious about it. (Some people have a TEMPER!)

It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.

The miracles of being young! Get hit by a car- cuts, bruses, possible fracture, road rash, and the next day do 20 miles on the bike. It would have been the end for me. Glad to hear you're weren't hurt worse.

I don't know how old you are but I will be 40 in November and I do not feel like a 20 year old anymore.

I have had my knees rebuilt, the right one twice, it has 1 and 1/2 pounds of metal in it. I am a cancer survivor (Thyroid cancer) and can see almost 20/20 despite having gotten a sliver of metal stuck in my right cornea 4 years ago. Laser surgery is an amazing technology.

But due to the workout routine I do every night and the way I eat and what I eat, I am now in better shape than I have ever been in my life. I credit that more than anything in allowing me to be able to bounce back like that.
I doubt I would have been able to come back as fast a little over a year ago.

I'm happy to hear that you weren't badly hurt. When I was young, I thought that I would get a motorcycle. But then, I spent 22 years as a volunteer paramedic, and I picked up way too many people from motorcycle accidents (yes, also a ton of auto accidents, but the severity of injury was usually so much greater), that I decided against it. Then, in Med school, cleaning up road rash was another reason that I continued to rely on cars. But, you're at least a smart rider, with helmet and safety glasses. So, here's to many more safe miles.

I say you sue the manufacturer of the bike and also of the car, for creating a public nuisance.

And I want Congress to repeal any law that prevents the NTSB and the DOT from releasing data on bicycle/automobile crashes!
