    Name this movie

Okay, it's not to old. I only caught a few minutes on HBO in a hotel room and have no idea what it's called.

Okay, so there's the black guy assassin that follows the ninja code, anyway the mod is pissed off at him so they try and take him out, so he takes them out and you know things just get out of hand. It seems that he only works for one guy in the mob, and when he faces this guy, his ninja code demands that he doesn't do anything to harm him.

Any clue what I'm talking about?

It's been a while, but was it "Ghost Dog" with Forest Whitaker?

I loved this... this is the first part I saw of the movie.

    [after Vinny shoots a policewoman]
Louie: Jesus, Vinny. You just iced a woman, you know that?
Vinny: You know what you are, Louie? You're a ****in' male chauvinist pig.
Louie: What do you mean, I'm a male chauvinist pig? You just shot a broad.
Vinny: A cop. I just shot a cop. They wanna be equal? I made her equal.

Ghost Dog is a great film - very strange and slightly surreal at points, but I really enjoy it. Forest Whitaker has been one of my favorite actors since his days as Big Harold in Platoon...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

it's not the ninja code, it's the "hagakure" (hidden behind leaves), which was meant to be used by the samurai as a guidebook to proper, correct behaviour. literally translated, samurai means "to serve", so the book focuses on the complete devotion of a samurai to his lord, body and spirit.

Same kinda deal, I caught a little bit of a movie and was wondering what it was. This guy with a bad limp is running a dinner and 2 armed guys come in to hold the place up but he takes them both out with a pot of coffee. Then later in the movie they start hinting like he was a hitman for the mob or something and some of the old mob guys start showing up in the small town but that is all I saw.
Thanks for the help and was it any good?

A bit slow in parts but it is a good movie.

I guess i'm the only one that didn't like Ghost Dog...I really like Forest Whitiker, great actor, but I thought the movie was pretty cheesy.

Now "A History Of Violence" I did like...good movie.
