    Post Smitty's New Ride...

Well, the purchase of our new car didn't happen the way I would have liked. My wife T-boned a lady who pulled out in front of her and totalled her PAID FOR car... But I just wanted to show all you fine folks the new wheels....Its a Honda CRV...all the fancy stuff....You can talk to it and it will talk back...and tell you how to get places .... I know that stuff ain't new, but for my slightly bumpkinish self, it is purdy fancy... Anyway, any comments welcome...

Oh yeah,...the best thing is....Plenty of room for 4 adults and cargo...and yet....24-28mpg....

One of these days I'm gonna get me a BIG Chevy truck.......and yes, Miggy...I'll probably put A loud exhaust system on it ....

Nice new ride. My wife and I were looking at the CR-V, but we decided to go with the Premium Gas Guzzling CX-7 instead.

    Sharp looking ride,

We also looked at them, but went with another Town and Country, That sto-n-go is Way cool.

We ended up getting a Santa Fe instead of a CRV, but both were on our short list.

If the CRV had all those bells and whistles in 05 I would have gotten one instead of the Pilot. Enjoy!

    +1 for the CR-V & Honda!!

I've owned 3 different Honda's / Acura's over the last 11 years (Civic, Prelude & RSX) and aside from routine maintenance (oil changes, tires, etc), the only "major" out-of-pocket expense that I've had so far has been replacing a battery!

Congrats to you and Mrs. Smitty on the new ride. The CRV is a really good vehicle. Personally I like the older body style better but, that's just me. And you can't beat the gas mileage.

Glad she was OK in the T-bone.

I loved the 1st generation CRV's, and actually bought one (a 98), my youngest daughter now drives it. I loved the second generation too, but wound up (also) buying a Pilot (05). We also wanted more bells.

Although I agree the new CRV is an incredible vehicle, its just too girly looking now. Perfect for your wife!

When its time to replace my F150, it'll likely be a Honda Ridgeline.
