    Not a great week!

This has been a rough week. I've been trying to catch up with the girl in administration to get all of the paperwork, etc done for my new job at the local jail. I went there Monday, as we had arranged, but she went home early, and I had to leave without accomplishing anything. Tuesday, after some unexpected errands, I headed toward the jail from a direction that I normally wouldn't take. Turning left onto Casino Center from Charleston Blvd, the left 2 lanes were stopped. I pulled forward slowly, to see if it was clear to proceed. A car, travelling at least the speed limit, if not faster (way too fast for the conditions), hit the front of my car. Airbags deployed, and I was a bit bruised, but otherwise ok. The driver, who said he was ok when I checked on him, decided that his shoulder hurt (after the officer showed up, of course), and went to the ER via ambulance. Of course, there was no way for me to prove that he was speeding, and since I was making the left turn, I got the ticket. Worst, is that my car is most likely totaled. It is 11 years old, with 101K miles. But it to that point ran great, and wasn't a problem. Then, today, I went to the Suncoast Casino to cash my unemployment check. As I was leaving, the fanny pack carrying my XD 45 (I was on my way to the gym, and was dressed in scrub pants and t shirt), came open, dropping ,y gun onto the floor. I quickly picked it up and holstered it, but of course it happened in front of 2 security guards. They were cool, and I showed them my CCW permit. One was concerned about the possibility of an AD, but I explained the workings of the XD making it unlikely. It was a small OOPS, but still aggravating, given the problems of the week. Next week has to be better.

Could have been worse. How so, you ask. You hair could have been on fire. Gotta get better next week. Better yet, go buy a box of ammo and take all the frustrations out on the target.
A person is justified in the use of deadly force, if such person reasonably believes deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.

Yes, it could have been much worse,, and for that I'm grateful. As fr s taking my frustrations out on a target or 2, that's the best idea that I've heard yet!
