    Give Peace A Punch

What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by stupid naive hemp-shirt-wearing college idiots, to teach them why force is sometimes needed:

    1) Approach dumb, rich, ignorant student talking about “peace” and saying there should be, “no retaliation.”
    2) Engage in brief conversation, ask if military force is appropriate.
    3) When he says “No,” ask, “Why not?”
    4) Wait until he says something to the effect of, “Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence.”
    5) When he’s in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.
    6) When he gets back up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you, because that would, “be awful and he should not cause more violence.”
    7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.
    8) Punch him in the face again, harder this time.

Repeat steps 5 through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to punch back!

Step 9) Get taken to jail for assault.

While it would be fun to do that, I think its best to just turn your back!

I think we should add - ""we can but dream" ........ and add the rider that it is of course ''tongue in cheek''!

Okay, all...this was under the topic of "Off Topic & Humor Discussions", take it for whats it's worth. Sometimes a sense of humor is needed.

Actually did something like this in University some 40 odd years ago. Things wern't quite so liberal then and some of the old profs had 'radical' ideas (read normal). In a psyche class he got a group of us to 'pick' on one of the more liberal anti-war nuts in class, and just keep pushing him until something happened. The rest of the group didn't know what was going on, but NOBODY said or did anything, until the guy actually tried to punch one of 'us' during a heated argument. (Can you imagine anyone doing a group experiment like that now a days? - can you say lawsuit??) And STILL no one would admit that responsive force is sometimes needed for survival. I soon thereafter left both the class and university, travelled around the world for a few years and learned a lot more that I ever would have at home.

I don't know that they would actually understand what's going on...it would take to much thinking for them to process.

It is good for a chuckle though
