    Calling Limatunes ............ calling Limatunes!!!

Advice? Well from customer's perspective - be polite, helpful and admit when you are not sure of something!! Don't ''pressure sell''!

If dealing with maroons, still try to be polite

Your going to deal with lots of maroons. They come in by the bus load.
My best advice is to keep your sense of humor, and remember that you will never be able to educate a true maroon.

The very definition of a maroon...

Congratulations and good luck with the new job. A buddy of mine worked in a gunstore for a while, but he couldn't afford it...the "employee discount" was causing his paychecks to shrink to almost non-existance...

ya so i just got back a little bit ago from my first day, i would have been home three hours ago but i ended up in the ER, due to me falling down 2 steps and screwing up my ankle bad enough to require a splint and crutches..

well here is the story of what happend...

I was going down to clean the range up at the end of the night, and on my way down, some other people were on their way out of the range back up stairs. We have been watching these people as they were "goofing around", so on their way up i thought i caught a glimpse of a loaded mag being loaded into a gun they rented. Well i got to looking at that gun to make sure it was clear and instead of watching the steps I missed one and fell...

    rangerman,

Hope you're ok... where abouts are you located in KY? Anywhere near Henderson? And what was the story, was the gun loaded?

    I hope you recover quickly.

I can only speak from a customer's perspective.

A good way to break the ice is to ask the customer what type or platform of weapon they are accustom to. This keeps you from offending experienced shooters and opens the door for a newbee to ask questions.

Also, when a couple comes in don't assume it's not the woman who is going to make the purchase. The most irritating thing a clerk has done in a gun store was to not only ignore me but address my companion and ask "Don't you think that gun is too big for her?" The funny thing is my friend has never fired a weapon.
