    How was your day?

Not sure if this guy is having a bad day or a good day.

"Hi, honey. What did you today?"

"Oh, I went to the morgue and had an autopsy."

"Dead" man wakes up under autopsy knife
Mon Sep 17, 8:53 AM ET

CARACAS (Reuters) - A Venezuelan man who had been declared dead woke up in the morgue in excruciating pain after medical examiners began their autopsy.

Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a highway accident and taken to the morgue, where examiners began an autopsy only to realize something was amiss when he started bleeding.
They quickly sought to stitch up the incision on his face.

"I woke up because the pain was unbearable," Camejo said, according to a report on Friday in leading local newspaper El Universal.

His grieving wife turned up at the morgue to identify her husband's body only to find him moved into a corridor -- and alive.

Reuters could not immediately reach hospital officials to confirm the events.
But Camejo showed the newspaper his facial scar and a document ordering the autopsy.

I saw this and couldn't believe it. It just goes to show why they use to have bells attached to coffins in the oldin days. People were scared of being buried alive.

This is why "Doctors" from third world countries are stuck driving cabs in America. Our health care may be extremely expensive but you get what you pay for.

I guess they kind of 'cut into his spare time'...

I wonder why they started cutting into his face first, in an autopsy...is that where they usually start? Not what I've seen in a documentary!

I can honestly say that I don't know anyone who's had an autopsy. Close one, for this guy. You'd think, though, that checking for heartbeat would be one of the tests done, prior to declaration of death. Hm.

You know, I shot the first of a two day State Air Pistol Silhouette Championship today, and shot horrible scores. Now it doesn't seem so bad...

I dunno QK, it sounds like may have had a pretty great day. Sure he got hit and cut on, but it would have really been bad to wake up in a box.

I remember a story back in Viet Nam days where a soldier was sent back to the US for embalming and burial. When the undertaker made an incision to drain the blood it was still warm and the guy wasn't dead. He had survived several days in a body bag.
