    Exclamation Acronyms in posts?

Ok, this was just a thought, but it goes out to our admin and moderators....am I the only one that has trouble with some of the acroymns used on this site? I read lots and lots of posts where a lot of our veteran members use acronyms and I don't know what half of them mean and it basically throws me off of the topic. Is there a way we could maybe start a sticky and post what a lot of the "common" acronyms stand for? Some that some of us younger or less experienced folk could use for reference?

Well, if you click on Forum Help & Extras, then click on General Acronyms, you may get plenty of explanations Then again, there's plenty of acronyms that aren't on that list, maybe it's time to get it revised

Your right, I didn't see that....but, like you said, there are a lot of them that arent listed....maybe just needs updating. So here is an idea....how about when using an acronym, at least once somewhere in the post, how about spelling it out once for us less knowing. Some guys do that already and I thank you.

I am sure the list has gaps - I used what I had at the time.

If however things not on it are referenced and explained, I will try and note them and add over time so we increase the coverage. They should tho be relatively 'standard'' ones as against something just one person has dreamed up.

Perhaps if you had an example, we could be of further assistance.

TNX ........ that I think is fairly self evident - tho I usually use thx as the lazy version. Context too might help make it clear.

However, some folks add ''TIA'' after a request post, meaning ''thanks in advance".
