    Its for the birds

In southern California a bird was observed that has not been around for maybe 60 years. I have read about maybe 3 incidents where small birds or animals thought to never be seen again are showing up around the world. So mother nature is doing well without the help of the mankind and that should make us all happy. I like to read about these good things going on in life, kinda puts the sunshine into the day. Take care guys and keep an eye out for those things you yarn for but just don't get to see much of

    Neat!

What about that one huge prehistoric fish that they thought had been extinct for over 60 million years & one got caught in a fishermans net maybe about 20 or so years ago. That was pretty amazing.

QKShooter, well as you may know out west the groups who watch for some poor field mouse that may dissapear from the face of the earth may hold up building a new home or road. So it is so good when on their very own a little bird or animal shows up after being missed for 50 or 60 years. Your fish thing sure does take the cake.

    There are some tragedies.

At a park in Wisconsin there is a monument to the extinct passenger pigeon.

"The monument to the passenger pigeon in Wyalusing State Park, Wisconsin, U.S.A., reads: "This species became extinct through the avarice and thoughtlessness of man."

There is a brief history of the bird, and the comment that their flocks "darkened the skies."
