    Talking I'm Unemployed!!!!

Today was my last day working at WHBQ FOX 13 in Memphis Tennessee.

It was a bit sad saying goodbye to all the friends I have made in my brief 2 year stint there but it was exciting because I am starting a brand new job Monday with another station. And, at the new station, instead of being one of the worker bees, I am the department head. So, this will be all new for me and an exciting challenge.

My new employee package arrived in the mail today. My first year I get 9 days vacation...not sure why 9 days, not 10 but, the second year, I get 15 days vacation. Every other place I have worked, you don't get three weeks vacation until you work there 5 years. So that is pretty cool.

I'm looking forward to the whole thing. To celebrate, I'm going to try to do a 50 mile ride on my bicycle tomorrow.

Great Mike. Wear yourself out so that you're too tired to do anything at your new job.

    Seriously...Congrats Boss!

Mike, I am so happy for you! Congrats on the new gig. Keep your spidey senses on while you are out on the bike.

Work your way to the top and open the workplace to CC. 50 Miles, eh? I remember when I used to do that kind of thing. Currently? As a wise man once said: I'm in no shape to exercise.

Way to go, Mike! Sounds like you're making all the right moves. So, what's your CCW for the bike ride?

My trusty Glock 23. I don't think I would even think of carrying anything else while biking. The G23 gets pretty sweaty and I think just about any other gun would have turned into a solid chunk of rust by now.

I doubt it. But I do not know for sure. I know one thing, when I get my employee handbook, if there isn't anything on weapons being prohibited, I'm not asking any questions. Not telling me I can't carry is the same thing as telling me it's OK just don't let anyone know.
