    My 1st IDPA Match

    Got to shoot in a two gun IDPA match Saturday.
    19 shooters, I finished 11th.
    Seeing as I:
    1.Hadn't shot 12 gauge for years and years until this week
    2. I ran out of shells on the 1st stage with two targets to go...with 2 boxes of shells in my bag
    3. The base pads on my carry mags wouldn't allow them to seat in my Warrior with the magwell; I ended up with my bobtail Talon for the pistol stages, GREAT for concealment, lousy for fast reloads
    4. I got flustered on the last pistol stage and lost my place on the headshots

    I was VERY happy with 11th. I'm hooked. If you hadn't shot IDPA, or a IDPA style match, you're missing out on FUN. I understand now what Lima was talking about. I was point shooting most of the pistol stages without even thinking about it. There were two longer shots, one on steel on carboard where I had to force myself to slow down and see the sights.
