Cool web accessory. (speed dial for the internet)
I use applications on my thumb drive almost exclusively. I like have my programs with me all the time so I can use the same thing on my computer at home, at my father in laws, or even at the library. I made a post about portableapps.com some time ago. Anywho.....
I used to use the web browser 'Opera' and really like it except it seemed kinda heavy.....maybe it isn't as bad as I thought but I never really took to it. One feature that I really enjoyed and missed is 'Speed Dial'. Still it wasn't enough to keep me with 'Opera'. I moved to firefox and now I use the portableapps version of Firefox.
Today I discovered an add-on for Firefox called 'Speed Dial'. How cool!!! I'm in hog heaven. What is a 'Speed Dial' you ask?
Well, let me show you.

It is a page per-say that has buttons for any of your sites you frequent. Not only that but you can make any of the buttons update however often you want. For instance, in the pic you can see that I have foxnews, cnn, and drudgereport on the bottom row, I have each of those to refresh every 3 minutes. I can leave this tab open and check to see what updates have been done to 3 different news sites AT THE SAME TIME!!! Its just me working smarter, not harder.
I was pretty excited when I found this and just thought I would share. :)
