    Land of the Dead

Mrshonts and I went to see this movie a few nights ago. It's a "slow-moving zombie" flick, except this time, the zombies have some intelligence and have figured out that it's easier to "hunt food" when armed with meat cleavers and Steyr AUGs.

It is a zombie flick, so enjoy it for what it is instead of picking apart a silly plotline.... you just want to see dead people eat live people and live people string them up by their ankles to use them for target practice. Oh, and the dead people swarm in on all the rich people living in the elite tower. And then there's that whole teeth-tearing navel scene that still has me going eeeeeeeeew.

What would be the ultimate SHTF scenario in zombie flicks? Fast moving zombies, like from Dawn of the Dead, armed with Steyr AUGs.

There's some kind of Loot n' Shoot game on their website, but it's not Mac compatible, so I can't play.

I love horror movies. I scare the poo out of mrshonts with my The Grudge imitation. I also have a good Gollum voice; I'll get all cuddly up to mrshont's ear and then say, "My preciousssss" and then watch him jump out of his skin.

I saw it the first time it played in the only theater within 50 miles of me that was playing it.

It made me want an M14...

"I'm pretty good with mine, boy. How are you with yours?"

"Somebody shot the little fat man."

    "Here take this gun."
"No thanks I like the ones I already got."
"This piece fires 14 rounds a second."
"I normally don't need that many."

    "I'm bein' friendly!"

    "spoiler"

The dead people figure out how to storm the city to eat live people. The heroes come to the rescue of the city survivors, but they fail protecting a big bunch of them that gets trapped behind their own electric fence. They have a chance to bombard the dead as they cross the bridge to leave the city after their feast, but they decide not to because... they're just looking for some place to go...just like us. Awww. How sweet.
