Well see that's the thing... you actually could do something like this without making it look stupid. It doesn't have to look tacky to be under the radar.

I wear blue jeans and I drive a dark red truck. Why not a polished stainless steel gun with blue or red grips? It wouldn't look bad if it was designed by someone with some kind of artistic ability.

It's similar to the school of thought that all defensive arms should be handsomely blued with deep, rich walnut grips and/or stocks. I've known some people who own EBRs and Glock pistols but for serious social work they resort to blued revolvers and lever action rifles because these things will look antiquated and familiar to Joe Sixpack the Juryman, who may very well have a gun like that himself. Something that doesn't look dangerous isn't going to be scrutinized by people who don't understand it.

Now am I going to start demanding such a thing or even pay extra for it? No, but I don't think it would hurt my feelings any if it might save us from a banning.
